My story
I’m Bev, a fiber artist working with wool and natural textures to create pieces that feel grounded, calm, and meant to be lived with.
I’m drawn to texture, subtle variation, and the slow rhythms of making. My work is shaped by time spent outdoors, the idea of home as a place of refuge, and an attention to the small details that often go unnoticed.
My creative practice is rooted in faith — not as something I aim to illustrate directly, but as a way of seeing.
I believe in the value of stillness, care, and presence, grounded in a faith that trusts God’s quiet guidance in both my work and my life.
The pieces I make are meant to offer rest rather than demand attention — small visual anchors that invite reflection, comfort, and a sense of belonging.
Before focusing fully on my studio practice, I earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Recreational Therapy. My professional background centered on helping people experience meaning, connection, and well-being through intentional activity and environment.
That training continues to shape my work as an artist. I think deeply about how spaces feel, how texture affects the nervous system, and how handmade objects can support a sense of calm and grounding in daily life.
Each piece is made slowly and intentionally in my studio, allowing materials to guide the work. I welcome variation and imperfection as signs of the hand and time involved — reminders that something real has been made.
I believe our homes should hold us gently. My hope is that these pieces become quiet companions in the spaces where life unfolds.
